Solutions Through Scale
The Power of Scale
Working together, sharing needs, purchasing volume knowledge and other support tools is an approach around increasing impact through aggregating scale. The power of scale is something that is often underestimated. Whether it is in the pooling of knowledge, allowing multiple centers to benefit from the expertise of another, or scale in terms of buying power - this is where ECE Shared Resources has lasting impact.
The ECE Shared Resources platform is informed by the brightest ECE minds from across the country, allowing everyone, in every partner state, to benefit from the resources and tools created from this collective sharing of knowledge and expertise. ECE Shared Resources also has also created scale in buying power, offering early childhood educators access to savings on the items they need most every day, savings that would not be available to a stand-alone center or family child care; savings that can truly impact the bottom line.
Why ECE Shared Resources?
The cornerstone of the CCA For Social Good mission is to support essential community infrastructure with resources that result in sustainability. It grew out of a fundamental belief that in order to really help resource-starved community businesses such as nonprofits and child care, corporations need to do more than give money - they need to leverage their infrastructure and knowledge to support their vitality with innovative solutions. ECE Shared Resources is that solution.
Innovation
There is nothing like ECE Shared Resources in the market today, an online knowledge hub built with the sole purpose of helping ECE professionals spend less time solving problems and managing administrative details, and more time focused on quality. The knowledge hub provides all the tools a child care business needs to be more efficient, more effective and more successful, all at the click of a mouse.
Solutions
The over 2,200 tools and savings programs available within ECE Shared Resources solve every day problems, address emerging needs and support compliance with federal and local regulations. Easy-to-use templates, samples and guides for past the ‘what is’ and provide the ‘how to.’ Directors and technical assistance, mentors and coaching staff have tangible, pragmatic resources at their fingertips, ready to support their work, expanding their reach and allowing them to spend more time on strengthening quality.
Why this Matters
ECE Shared Resources forms the foundation for shared services initiatives across the country by providing acting as the conduit by not only containing shared services resources but promoting accessibility to tools that support quality child care.
What is Shared Services?
Defined by our colleagues at Opportunities Exchange, Shared Services is a framework or organizational structure that allows providers to pay attention to providing high quality teaching and learning (pedagogical leadership), while at the same time making sure the business and administrative tasks that support a high quality approach are performed well (business leadership). In a Shared Services Alliance, multiple ECE sites pool needs and share resources–including staff, information, skills and funds - in order to improve the long-term capacity to provide high quality care.
