Accessing Employee Benefit Programs – Telehealth and More!
Supporting the health and wellness of the child care workforce and their families is an important focus of the CCA For Social Good work in supporting the early care and education community. Our long-time partnership with an innovative virtual care benefits provider brings the child care community access to virtual health resources, doctors, mental health therapists, specialists, health advocates and more! These low-cost programs support efforts to provide services that extend access to the medical resources necessary to promote good health for all employees and support long-term employee retention.
With the recent American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding and guidance issued, the opportunities to strengthen and stabilize the early care and education field have grown immensely, including directing available funding to support the physical and mental wellness of the child care workforce. Available programs outlined below can form a good, affordable health insurance package, expanding access to medical and health services and increasing compensation and benefits to the child care work force.
About Docs By Phone (or Telemedicine):
This service provides 24/7 access to doctors by phone, video or mobile app. Doctors are Board Certified in your state, licensed to practice medicine and write prescriptions. There are no co-pays or added costs for any visit. The program also includes a prescription discount card and a shop feature allowing you to find the lowest cost for your prescription around your home. Additionally, a mental health teletherapy service feature can be incorporated for a small additional fee. Once the plan is in place, it will cover the insured, their spouse and dependent children at no additional cost.
Other preventive programs available to support workforce health include:
